The home pursues an open courtyard typology in a cold climate, allowing only those parts of the home that are occupied to be conditioned for comfort. In addition, a continuously and highly-insulated building envelope including roofs, walls, and slab-on-grade ensure performance. The garage is designed to receive future roof-mounted solar photovoltaic panels.
